What the transfer covers

Collioure is a small harbour town on the Côte Vermeille, the 20 km stretch of French coast between Argelès-sur-Mer and the border village of Cerbère, in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Two old landmarks frame its bay. The Château Royal was a castle of the kings of Majorca before Vauban turned it into a citadel for Louis XIV, and the church of Notre-Dame-des-Anges, built on the port between 1684 and 1691, rings its bells from a tower that once guided boats into the harbour with smoke by day and fire by night. Henri Matisse and André Derain spent the summer of 1905 painting here, and the town's tourism office now marks a Fauvism trail through its streets.

Of the French destinations on this site, Collioure is one of the closest to Barcelona. Leaving Barcelona on the C-31 and then the C-33, the estimated route joins the AP-7, passes within a couple of kilometers of Girona and Figueres, and becomes the French A 9 at the border. It leaves the motorway at Le Boulou, follows the D 618 east to Argelès-sur-Mer and then the D 914 south along the coast into Collioure. Your chauffeur collects you at your address in Barcelona and sets you down at your address in Collioure.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

The journey begins at the address you send in Barcelona, whether that is a hotel, a rented apartment or your home. Give the time you would like to set off, or the time you want to reach Collioure, and the quote is prepared for that trip.

Flying into Barcelona and heading straight for the coast? Name Barcelona Airport as the pickup in your request and add the flight number.

End of the journey

Arrival in Collioure

Drop-off is at the address you give in Collioure: a hotel by the bay, a holiday rental in the old town or a house among the vineyards above it. Send the street and number, or the name of the hotel.

Staying elsewhere on the Côte Vermeille? Port-Vendres and Banyuls-sur-Mer are on the same short coastline, so give that address instead.

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. To the door, not the station

The trip ends at your address in Collioure, so there is no connection to make on the way and no last leg to arrange once you reach the coast.

  2. A detour to the Dalí museum

The routed line passes about 2 km from Figueres, where the Dalí Theatre-Museum opened in 1974 in the town's rebuilt Municipal Theatre. To visit it, add the stop and the time you want there to your request.

  3. Close enough for a day out

The drive is about 2 h 20 min each way by road without traffic, so a day in Collioure is possible. Ask for the outward and return journeys in one request, with the time you want to leave the town.

  4. Wine and anchovies on the way home

Collioure is known for its anchovies and its AOC wines. If you plan to bring cases or jars back to Barcelona, mention them with the bags in your request.

Return from Collioure to Barcelona

There is no separate page for the Collioure to Barcelona transfer. Ask for the return in the same request, with its date and time, and we quote both directions.

Questions about the Barcelona to Collioure transfer

Where does the motorway end on the way to Collioure?

At Le Boulou. The estimate takes the AP-7 to the border and the A 9, La Catalane, then leaves it for the D 618 east to Argelès-sur-Mer and the D 914 into Collioure. In all, Collioure is about 195 km from Plaça de Catalunya, about 2 h 20 min by road (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026).

What is Collioure known for?

The local tourism office presents it as the pearl of the Côte Vermeille and highlights its bell tower, the Château Royal, Fort Saint-Elme, its market, its anchovies and the Collioure and Banyuls wines. Painters made it famous too: Matisse and Derain worked there in the summer of 1905, the season that gave Fauvism its name (Wikipedia).

What is the bell tower beside the beach in Collioure?

It belongs to the church of Notre-Dame-des-Anges, built on the port between 1684 and 1691. The bell tower was the town's old beacon tower, which signaled with smoke by day and fire by night, and the church's high altarpiece is by Joseph Sunyer, from 1698 (Wikipédia).

Can we be dropped in Port-Vendres or Banyuls-sur-Mer instead?

Both towns are on the Côte Vermeille next to Collioure (Wikipedia). The drop-off is the address you put in your request, so send the hotel or rental there and the quote follows that address.
