Port de Barcelona
Seven terminals, two quays
Cruise ships in Barcelona berth at the Port de Barcelona, which lists seven passenger terminals on two quays: Terminals A, B, C, D, E and MSC on the Adossat wharf, and the WTCB terminal on the Barcelona wharf, at the World Trade Center. The port says it can take ten large cruise ships at the same time and handles more than 800 cruise calls a year, with the most traffic between April and November.
The terminal map is changing. In October 2023 the port closed the North terminal at the World Trade Center and moved around 340 cruise and ferry calls a year to the Adossat wharf, which it describes as much further from the city's residential areas. A July 2025 agreement with Barcelona City Council sets a timetable to close the Barcelona South terminal at the end of 2026 and, on the Adossat wharf, to replace Terminals A, B and C with one new public terminal. The same agreement puts home port cruises first, the ones that begin and end in Barcelona, and notes their better airport connections.
This directory covers the journeys to and from the terminals: the airport in both directions, Barcelona Sants station, hotels in the city, and a private city tour that starts at the port.

Planning a cruise port transfer
Find your terminal
The cruise line, not the port, sets the terminal for each call, and your cruise documents name it. Send it with your request, or the ship's name and date if the documents have not arrived. Because the port is concentrating cruise traffic on the Adossat wharf, check the terminal again close to your date.
From the Adossat wharf
Road estimates from the port start at Terminal A on the Adossat wharf. The estimate to the airport crosses the Porta d'Europa bridge, then follows the B-10, the Ronda Litoral, and the C-31. The port's 2025 agreement plans to double that bridge to improve access to the wharf.
Start and end of a cruise
A cruise that begins or ends in Barcelona means a journey at each end: from the airport, the station or a hotel to the ship, and from the ship onward. If you need both, ask for them in one request with both dates.

Questions about cruise port transfers
Where do cruise ships dock in Barcelona?
At the Port de Barcelona's cruise terminals: Terminals A, B, C, D, E and MSC on the Adossat wharf, and the WTCB terminal on the Barcelona wharf (Port de Barcelona). Your cruise documents say which one your ship uses.
How far is the cruise port from Barcelona Airport?
From Terminal A on the Adossat wharf to Terminal 1, the road estimate is 20 km, about 25 min without traffic (OpenStreetMap routing, checked September 30, 2026). The cruise port to airport transfer page has the details, and the airport to cruise port transfer covers the opposite direction.
Do cruise ships still use the World Trade Center terminals?
The North terminal at the World Trade Center closed on 2 October 2023, and its calls moved to the Adossat wharf. The port's timetable closes the Barcelona South terminal at the end of 2026 (Port de Barcelona). Check the terminal in your documents shortly before you travel.
Is there a private tour for a day in port?
The private city tour from the cruise port starts at the port. For guided tours with set itineraries and hotel pickup, see the private tours.
What should I send for a cruise port transfer quote?
The ship's name and the date, the terminal if you know it, the other address (airport terminal and flight number, Sants station and train time, or the hotel), and the number of guests and suitcases. Send it by WhatsApp or through the quote form.
