Cruise Port Transfers

Barcelona Cruise Port to Hotel Transfer

Off the ship and on to your hotel: a private transfer from the cruise terminals of the Port de Barcelona to a hotel in the old town, the Eixample or on the seafront. Every transfer is quoted on request.

What the transfer covers

This is the drive from your ship to your hotel when a cruise ends in Barcelona. Ships tie up at seven international passenger terminals, which the Port de Barcelona places on two quays, Adossat and Barcelona, and the hotel at the other end can be anywhere in the city: in the small streets of the Gothic Quarter, on the Eixample grid or by the beach in La Barceloneta. To give a figure, the estimate on this page runs to Plaça de Catalunya, the square where the old city meets the Eixample. It leaves the Adossat quay over the Porta d'Europa bridge, follows the Ronda del Port to Avinguda del Paral·lel and reaches the square by the Ronda de Sant Antoni and Carrer de Pelai: 6 km, about 15 min by road without traffic.

Disembarkation day is what this transfer is for. You come off the ship with every suitcase from the voyage, and the drive takes the whole party to one address, the hotel where you spend the next nights before flying home or traveling on. The port's Cruise bus links the Adossat terminals with the city center; a private transfer goes on from the quay to the street your hotel is on. Send the ship, the date and the hotel, and the quote is for that drive.

Start of the journey

Pickup at Port de Barcelona

Collection is at the terminal where your ship docks. The request needs the ship's name and the date you leave it; add the terminal if your cruise line has told you which one, and the time you expect to be off the ship.

Flying out the same day instead? The cruise port to airport transfer goes straight to T1 or T2.

End of the journey

Arrival in Barcelona

The transfer ends at your hotel. Give its name and street address, or the street and building number of an apartment, and the quote covers the drive to that door.

The last few streets differ from one area to the next. Most of the Gothic Quarter is closed to regular traffic, though open to service vehicles and taxis, so the street your hotel is on decides where a car can stop. In the Dreta de l'Eixample, Passeig de Gràcia and Rambla de Catalunya both start at Plaça de Catalunya, where the estimate ends. On the seafront, La Barceloneta is about 2 km from the Adossat terminals in a straight line. A hotel outside Barcelona is quoted the same way, from the address you send.

Places in Barcelona

  1. Plaça de Catalunya

The end point of the estimate on this page. Wikipedia calls it both the city center and the place where the old city and the 19th-century Eixample meet, and a transport hub above and under ground.

  2. La Rambla

A tree-lined pedestrian street of 1.2 km between Plaça de Catalunya and the Columbus Monument at Port Vell, with the Barri Gòtic on its east side and El Raval on its west.

  3. El Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter)

The old quarter between La Rambla and Via Laietana, running from the seafront to the Ronda de Sant Pere, with a maze of small streets that open onto squares.

  4. La Barceloneta

The triangular seafront neighborhood of Ciutat Vella, bordered by the sea, the Moll d'Espanya of Port Vell and El Born, with the W Barcelona hotel on the beach.

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. From the quay to the hotel's street

The port's Cruise bus runs between the Adossat terminals and the city center. A private transfer carries on to the street your hotel is on, so there is no second ride from a bus stop.

  2. Every suitcase from the voyage

Give the number of suitcases along with the number of guests. The quote is worked out for that load, so the party and its luggage travel together.

  3. Two hotels in one request

Traveling with friends who are staying somewhere else? Add the second address and the order of the stops, and both drop-offs are quoted together.

Return from Barcelona to Port de Barcelona

Going back to the port for another sailing? There is no separate page for the drive from a hotel to the terminals. Ask for it in the same request or later, with the ship's name and the sailing date.

Questions about the Port de Barcelona to Barcelona transfer

From the ship to Plaça de Catalunya, how long is the ride?

From Moll Adossat to Plaça de Catalunya, the estimate is about 6 km and about 15 min (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026), over the Porta d'Europa bridge, along the Ronda del Port and up the Avinguda del Paral·lel. It is a figure for the city center: your hotel's address, the traffic and the time it takes to leave the ship all change the real time.

My hotel is in the Gothic Quarter. Can the car reach the door?

It depends on the street. Most of the Gothic Quarter is closed to regular traffic, though open to service vehicles and taxis (Wikipedia). Send the hotel's name and address, and ask in the same message where the drop-off will be. The Gothic Quarter chauffeur page covers other journeys from the neighborhood.

Which neighborhoods are closest to the cruise terminals?

Measured in a straight line from the port's coordinates on the Adossat quay, El Poble-sec is about 2 km away, El Raval and La Barceloneta about 2.2 km, and the Gothic Quarter about 2.5 km. Road distances are longer than these straight lines, so send the hotel's address for the quote.

Can we see some of the city before we check in?

Say so in your request. A stop on the way can be added to the transfer, and the cruise port private city tour page is about a tour that starts at the port. Mention your luggage too, so the quote takes it into account.
