What the transfer covers

This transfer is the trip home after a cruise that ends in Barcelona: from the ship's terminal at the Port de Barcelona to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. Of the seven cruise terminals the port lists, six are lettered or named buildings on the Adossat wharf and the seventh, WTCB, stands on the Barcelona wharf. At the other end, Aena says both passenger terminals of the airport, T1 and T2, are in El Prat de Llobregat.

The road estimate starts at Terminal A on the Adossat wharf, crosses the Porta d'Europa bridge and follows the B-10, the Ronda Litoral, and then the C-31 to Terminal 1. The port authority has been moving cruise ships away from the city: the World Trade Center lost its North cruise terminal in October 2023, and Barcelona South is due to shut once 2026 is over. Check the terminal named in your cruise documents. The transfer runs from that terminal to the one your airline departs from.

Start of the journey

Pickup at Port de Barcelona

Collection is at the cruise terminal where your ship docks. Send the ship's name, the date, the terminal if your cruise documents give it, and the time you expect to leave the ship.

End of the journey

Arrival at Aeropuerto Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat

Drop-off is at the airport terminal your airline uses, T1 or T2. Give the flight number and its departure time, and say which terminal your booking shows.

If you end up at the wrong terminal, Aena runs a free shuttle bus between T1 and T2; it stops at T1 on the arrivals and departures levels and at T2 B and T2 C.

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. Ship to departures in one trip

The journey starts at the terminal where you leave the ship and ends at the terminal of your flight, with no change of transport in between.

  2. Cruise luggage on the request

List every suitcase and bag coming off the ship with the number of guests, so the quote is worked out for your whole party.

  3. Planned around two timetables

Give the time you expect to be off the ship and your flight time, and the pickup time is worked out from both.

Questions about the Port de Barcelona to Aeropuerto Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat transfer

Is Terminal 2 a shorter drive from the ship than Terminal 1?

Shorter in distance, not in time. From Moll Adossat, the estimate to Terminal 1 is about 20 km and about 25 min (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026); to Terminal 2 the same routing gives about 19 km and about 28 min. Your flight decides the terminal, and Aena's airport site has a terminal finder. Traffic on the Ronda Litoral and the time it takes to leave the ship come on top.

Is the World Trade Center terminal still used by cruise ships?

The port closed the North terminal at the World Trade Center on 2 October 2023 and moved around 340 cruise and ferry calls a year to the Adossat wharf (Port de Barcelona). It plans to close the Barcelona South terminal at the end of 2026, so check the terminal in your documents close to your date.

Our flight is in the evening. Can we spend the day in Barcelona first?

Yes, ask for it in the request. A chauffeur by the hour keeps a vehicle and driver for a set time, and the cruise port private city tour is a guided tour that starts at the port. Give the time you expect to leave the ship and your flight's departure time, so the day is planned to end at the airport.

Does the car pass through the city center on the way to El Prat?

No. The road estimate leaves the Adossat quay over the Porta d'Europa bridge and along the Ronda del Port, then takes the B-10 Ronda Litoral and the C-31 to the airport (OpenStreetMap road routing), so it stays clear of the city center.
