What the transfer covers
This transfer ends at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, which Aena runs in El Prat de Llobregat with two passenger terminals, T1 and T2. Aena publishes the list of airlines that use each one, so look up yours before you ask for a quote: the drop-off is a terminal, not simply the airport. For passengers who need to change building, a free Aena shuttle bus links T1 with T2 B and T2 C.
The road estimate starts in Andorra la Vella and leaves the country on the CG-1 through Sant Julià de Lòria to La Farga de Moles. Past the border, the N-145 runs down to La Seu d'Urgell, where the estimate joins the N-260 and then heads south on the C-16, and near the city it switches to the ring roads and the C-32 to reach Terminal 1; Terminal 2 has its own figure in the route details. Crossing back into Spain also means entering the Schengen area again, which matters if you travel on a Schengen visa, and passing Spanish customs with anything you bought in Andorra.

Start of the journey
Pickup in Andorra
Pickup is at your address in Andorra: a hotel, an apartment or a home. Send it with your flight number and departure time, and the pickup time is worked out back from the flight.
The estimate on this page starts in Andorra la Vella. A pickup in a ski village adds distance, and the estimates from Barcelona to Pas de la Casa, Soldeu and El Tarter run through France rather than through La Seu d'Urgell.
End of the journey
Arrival at Aeropuerto Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat
Drop-off is at the terminal your airline uses, T1 or T2. Aena lists the airlines for each terminal on its website, and those allocations can change, so check close to your travel date.
For the reverse trip, from the airport to the mountains, see the Barcelona Airport to Andorra transfer. If you have a night in Barcelona before flying, the Andorra to Barcelona transfer ends at a city address instead.
Aena's free shuttle between terminals runs every day, holidays included. Aena times the ride at about 10 minutes from T1 to T2 B and C and about 14 minutes from T2 back to T1, and inside T2 a walk of about 2 minutes separates T2 A from T2 B (Aena).

Why book a private chauffeur

Planned back from your flight
Give the departure time and the airline, and the pickup in Andorra is set from them, with room for the border and the drive.
Documents and boarding passes in hand
You pass the Spanish border and customs before you reach the airport. In a private vehicle, passports stay with you, not in a bag at the back.
From the ski room to the terminal
Ski bags and boot bags travel with you from your accommodation to the terminal. List them with the suitcases so the quote fits.
Sunday flights in winter
The Generalitat de Catalunya reports the southbound peak on the C-16 between Bagà and Berga on Sunday afternoons. If you fly on a winter Sunday, allow for it.

Questions about the Andorra to Aeropuerto Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat transfer
What is the driving time from Andorra la Vella to Terminal 1 at El Prat?
Allow about 2 h 45 min for about 203 km: that is the road estimate from Andorra la Vella to Terminal 1 (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026), and Terminal 2 is about the same distance. The border at La Farga de Moles and traffic near Barcelona come on top, more so on a winter Sunday afternoon.
How early should we leave Andorra for a flight?
Work back from your flight. Start from your airline's check-in and bag drop deadline, add the road time of about 2 h 45 min, then add a margin for the border, for traffic near Barcelona and for the winter Sunday peak that the Generalitat de Catalunya reports on the C-16. Send the flight time with your request and the pickup time is proposed with the quote.
Which terminal should I give for the drop-off?
The one your airline uses. Aena lists the airlines at T1 and at T2 on its website. If you need to change terminal after drop-off, Aena's free shuttle links them.
I came to Andorra on a Schengen visa. What happens at the border on the way to the airport?
Andorra is not in the Schengen area, so the drive back into Spain re-enters it. Visit Andorra says a Schengen visa must allow at least two entries to reach Andorra and then re-enter the Schengen area. Keep the passport with the visa in your hand luggage.
