Pickup at Barcelona Airport
How the pickup at Barcelona Airport is arranged is confirmed in the reply to your quote request.
Send the flight number and the scheduled landing time, and the terminal if you know it, so the quote matches your arrival.
Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport has two passenger terminals, T1 and T2, both in the municipality of El Prat de Llobregat (Aena). T2 is made up of T2 A, T2 B and T2 C. If you need to change terminal, Aena runs a free shuttle between T1 and T2 day and night, every day including public holidays, and gives about 10 minutes from T1 to T2 B and C and about 14 minutes from T2 to T1 (Aena).

From the airport to Andorra by road
Andorra sits between Spain and France and can only be reached through one of them. A transfer from Barcelona Airport to Andorra is a road journey from the terminal to your address. The route estimate here starts at Terminal 1, with a Terminal 2 variant, and ends in Andorra la Vella. It leaves the airport area on the B-20, heads north on the C-16 and continues on the N-260 and the N-145 to the border, with the CG-1 as the last stretch inside Andorra.
Two things deserve attention when you fly in. The first is paperwork: Andorra is outside the European Union and the Schengen area, and Visit Andorra notes that a Schengen visa must allow at least two entries, since crossing into Andorra means leaving Schengen and the drive back means entering it again. Keep passports or ID cards in your hand luggage, not in a suitcase in the trunk. The second is timing: the Generalitat de Catalunya says winter traffic on the C-16 between Berga and Bagà peaks on Friday afternoons heading north and can triple journey times there, so your landing time decides whether the drive meets that peak.

Drop-off in Andorra
The transfer ends at the address you give with your request, and the quote is for that address, so send it in full, with the parish. Andorra has seven: Canillo, Encamp, Ordino, La Massana, Andorra la Vella, Sant Julià de Lòria and Escaldes-Engordany.
The route estimate above runs to Andorra la Vella, and its range runs from Pas de la Casa, the nearest point estimated, to Ordino Arcalís, the farthest. If you are going to ski at Grandvalira, the resort describes its Encamp sector as its first access from Spain and the closest to Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany.

Questions about Barcelona Airport to Andorra transfers
How long should we plan for the mountain road to Andorra la Vella?
By road, Andorra la Vella is about 204 km and about 2 h 50 min from Terminal 1 at Barcelona Airport (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026). Across Andorra the estimates run from about 197 km (Pas de la Casa, about 2 h 45 min) to about 228 km (Ordino Arcalís, about 3 h 25 min). The Generalitat de Catalunya reports that winter traffic on the C-16 between Berga and Bagà can triple journey times, with the northbound peak on Friday afternoons, so allow for it if you land on a winter Friday.
I land at Barcelona on a Schengen visa. Can I go straight to Andorra?
Check your visa first. Andorra is outside the European Union and the Schengen area, so the drive from the airport takes you out of Schengen at the border and back into it when you return to Spain. Visit Andorra says travelers who need a Schengen visa must hold one valid for at least two entries, or a multiple-entry visa if they will cross several times. EU citizens can use a passport or national ID card, and citizens of non-EU Schengen countries need a valid passport. Keep your documents with you in the car.
Do customs rules apply on the drive back from Andorra to the airport?
Yes. On the way back you cross into Spain, where traveler allowances apply to goods bought in Andorra and anything above them must be declared at customs (Government of Andorra). The Andorra to Barcelona Airport transfer covers that direction and is quoted the same way, or ask for both directions in one request.
Which Grandvalira access is closest if we stay in Andorra la Vella?
According to Grandvalira, its Encamp sector is the resort's first access from Spain and the closest to Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany. It is reached by the 6 km Funicamp lift from the village of Encamp. Give the address of your hotel or apartment in your request, and the quote is for a drop-off there.
