What the transfer covers
Pas de la Casa is a town in the parish of Encamp, right on the border with France at about 2,080 m. Above it rises the Port d'Envalira, the 2,408 m pass that connects it with the rest of Andorra, and Wikipedia notes that it is the only point in the country where water drains toward the Atlantic. Its ski area, Grandvalira's oldest sector, dates from 1956, and Visit Andorra lists the town among Andorra's shopping areas.
Because the town faces France, the road estimate gets there without driving through the rest of Andorra. Leaving Plaça de Catalunya on the C-16, it continues to Puigcerdà, crosses into France, takes the N 20 and the N 320 over the Col de Puymorens, and finishes on the N 22, a 13 km branch of the N 20 that ends at the Andorran border in the town itself. Of the Andorra destinations estimated from Barcelona, this one is the nearest by road. A transfer here can drop you at a hotel for a ski stay or at an address in town, and it ends at the street address you send.

Why book a private chauffeur

Through France without changing
The road estimate passes from Spain into France and then into Andorra. One vehicle covers the whole way, from your door in Barcelona to your address in town.
A base for skiing
If Pas de la Casa is your base for a ski week, list the skis, boots and boards with the suitcases so the quote fits your group.
Shopping trips, both ways
Coming for shopping and going back the same day or later? Ask for both directions in one request, and remember that customs allowances apply when you re-enter Spain.
Return from Pas de la Casa to Barcelona

Questions about the Barcelona to Pas de la Casa transfer
What does the drive to Pas de la Casa through France amount to?
The road estimate gives about 185 km from Plaça de Catalunya to Pas de la Casa, and about 2 h 40 min of driving (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026), with the border into France at Puigcerdà along the way.
Which roads lead from Barcelona to Pas de la Casa?
The estimate follows the C-16 north, crosses into France at Puigcerdà, and takes the N 20 and then the N 320, which runs over the Col de Puymorens rather than through the Puymorens tunnel, the toll route that opened in 1994 (French Wikipedia)). The last stretch is the N 22, a 13 km branch that ends at the Andorran border in Pas de la Casa, where it meets the CG-2 (French Wikipedia)).
Do I need to go through the rest of Andorra to reach Pas de la Casa?
Not on the road estimate. Pas de la Casa is on the French side of the Envalira, so the estimate arrives straight from France on the N 22. The rest of Andorra is over the Port d'Envalira, or through the toll tunnel that bypasses it.
What documents do I need for the border at Pas de la Casa?
You leave Spain for France, which is also in the Schengen area, and then leave Schengen when you enter Andorra. Visit Andorra lists a valid ID card or passport for EU adults and a valid passport for citizens of non-EU Schengen countries. If you need a Schengen visa, it must allow at least two entries so you can come back.
What happens to the road over the Col de Puymorens in winter?
The French authorities close it when the weather makes it unsafe. An order of December 30, 2020, by the Prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales, published on Bison Futé, shut the RN 320 to all vehicles in both directions between La Croisade and the La Vignole junction, citing snow, widespread ice, strong wind and zero visibility. The Puymorens tunnel, a toll road, bypasses the col, and the DIR Sud-Ouest sends traffic through it when the col road is closed for works. Check Bison Futé, the French public road information service, before a winter trip.
