What the transfer covers
El Tarter is a small village in the parish of Canillo. It lies on the CG-2 main road beside the Valira d'Orient, a river that feeds the Gran Valira. On the mountain, its sector of Grandvalira is known for the Àliga slope, approved by the FIS in 2013 and raced in the World Cup Finals of 2019 and 2023, and for Snowpark El Tarter. Skiers can come over from Soldeu on the slopes, and the lift system links the sector to the rest of the ski area.
On the road estimate from Plaça de Catalunya, the approach is from the east. After the C-16 and Puigcerdà the estimate runs through France, enters Andorra on the N 22 at Pas de la Casa, crosses the Envalira on the CG-2 and passes through Soldeu first. The El Tarter figure comes out about 3 km longer than Soldeu's. A trip here can start a ski week or a summer stay in the mountains, and it ends at the hotel or apartment address you send.

Questions about the Barcelona to El Tarter transfer
Through France, how far is the road from Barcelona to El Tarter?
From Plaça de Catalunya, the estimate to El Tarter is about 195 km, with about 2 h 50 min of driving on empty roads (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026). It leaves Spain near Puigcerdà and enters Andorra at Pas de la Casa, so the border, traffic and the time of year all add to that.

On the road estimate, after. The route enters Andorra at Pas de la Casa, crosses the Envalira and goes through Soldeu before it reaches El Tarter, and the estimate is about 3 km longer than the one to Soldeu.
Can we ski between El Tarter and Soldeu?
Yes, on the slopes. Wikipedia notes that from Soldeu you can ski to the top of the El Tarter gondola or down to the village, and Grandvalira says its seven sectors are connected by slopes and lifts. Stay in either village and you are on the same ski area.
Which World Cup slope is at El Tarter?
The Àliga. Grandvalira says it received FIS approval as a downhill slope in 2013 and has hosted European Cup races and the World Cup Finals of 2019 and 2023.

Yes. Grandvalira lists a kids' circuit in the sector and the Bababoom Circus, a slope designed for small children.
