Wikipedia dates the funitel to 1998 and notes that it links Encamp by lift and slope with Pas de la Casa. The parish, which lies on the Valira d'Orient river and borders both France and Spain, also takes in Les Bons, Vila and, by the French border, Pas de la Casa.
