What the transfer covers

Pal Arinsal is the ski area of the parish of La Massana, and its two sectors are named after two villages. Pal, about 4 km west of the town of La Massana, got the ski resort above it in 1982, while in Arinsal the first lifts went up in 1973. A cable car from the top of the Arinsal sector joins the two, and by the resort's count the area has 47 slopes over 63 km. Wikipedia groups it with Ordino Arcalís under the name Vallnord.

Unlike the Grandvalira villages to the east, which the estimates reach through France, Pal and Arinsal are reached through Andorra la Vella. The estimates follow the C-16 north, the N-260 to La Seu d'Urgell and the N-145 to the border, then the CG-1 up to the capital. There the CG-3 runs through the Pont Pla tunnel to La Massana, the CG-4 climbs toward Pal, and the Arinsal estimate turns onto the CG-5 for its last stretch. Outside the ski season, Visit Andorra points to the Pal Arinsal Bike Park as one of the parish's draws.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

Pickup is at the Barcelona address you send, for example a hotel, an apartment, your home or an office. Add the time you would like to set off.

Coming straight from a flight? The Barcelona Airport to Andorra transfer starts at the terminal; give the flight number when you ask.

Arrival in Pal Arinsal

Tell us which village you are staying in. Pal and Arinsal sit on different roads above La Massana, and their estimates are about 2 km apart, so the address matters.

Arinsal also has a page of its own, and the La Massana transfer covers addresses in the parish's main town.

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. On past the capital

The trip carries on through Andorra la Vella and up to your village, so there is no stop or change of vehicle in the capital.

  2. Skis in winter, bikes in summer

Ski bags or bikes for the bike park: list what you bring with the suitcases and the number of guests, and the quote is for that load.

  3. The right village

Pal and Arinsal are reached by different roads from La Massana. Give the village and the address, and the drop-off is at your door.

Questions about the Barcelona to Pal Arinsal transfer

Is the drive to Pal any different from the drive to Arinsal?

Barely. Starting at Plaça de Catalunya, the road estimates (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026) run from about 202 km (Arinsal, about 2 h 55 min) to about 204 km (Pal, about 2 h 55 min), and traffic is not counted in either.

Should I give Pal or Arinsal as the drop-off?

The village where you are staying. The two sectors are joined by a cable car from the top of the Arinsal sector (Wikipedia), so you can ski both from either village, but by road they are on different branches above La Massana: the estimates take the CG-4 toward Pal and the CG-5 for Arinsal.

Which road does the transfer to Pal Arinsal take?

The estimates enter Andorra from Spain at La Farga de Moles and go through Andorra la Vella. That matches the resort's own directions from Barcelona: from the capital, the CG-3 toward La Massana, then the CG-4 toward Pal or Arinsal (Pal Arinsal). The resort lists Barcelona Airport as 200 km away.

How much skiing is there at Pal Arinsal?

Grandvalira gives Pal Arinsal 63 km and 47 slopes in two sectors, Pal and Arinsal, connected by a cable car.
