What the transfer covers
Arinsal is a village in the parish of La Massana, in the northwest of Andorra, and the Arinsal half of the Pal Arinsal ski area rises above it. Visit Andorra notes that a cable car in the village takes skiers closer to the Arinsal sector, and that the resort's two sectors, Pal and Arinsal, are connected by cable car too. The first ski lifts here went up in 1973, according to Wikipedia. Out of the snow season the village is a trailhead: the Comapedrosa route, a circular walk to the summit of the country's highest peak, sets off in front of the nature park's interpretation center in Arinsal.
The routed estimate follows the usual way into Andorra from Barcelona as far as the capital and then turns north. It leaves Andorra la Vella on the CG-3 for La Massana, takes the CG-4 out of the town and finishes on the CG-5, the road Visit Andorra gives for the Arinsal sector, through the village of Erts. Pickup is at your address in Barcelona and the drop-off is the accommodation you name in Arinsal, so one vehicle covers the whole climb.

Start of the journey
Pickup in Barcelona
The transfer starts from the address you give in Barcelona: your hotel, a rented flat or a family home. Add the time you want to set off, or the time you need to be in Arinsal, for example to pick up rental skis or ski passes on the day you arrive, and the quote is planned around it.
Coming straight off a flight? The Barcelona Airport to Andorra transfer starts at the terminal instead; put your Arinsal address in that request.

End of the journey
Arrival in Arinsal
Drop-off is at the address you send in Arinsal: a hotel, an apartment building or a chalet. The estimate on this page ends in the village itself, so an address in Erts, which the CG-5 passes on the way, gives a slightly different figure.
Staying in Pal and skiing from there? The Pal Arinsal transfer has an estimate for each of the two villages.

Why book a private chauffeur

Past La Massana and Erts
Arinsal lies beyond La Massana and Erts on the CG-5. The transfer takes you from your door in Barcelona to your accommodation in the village, without a change in Andorra la Vella.
Ski gear in the request
Name the skis, boot bags and snowboards alongside the suitcases when you ask, so the quote covers the whole load your group brings.
Avoid the Friday crawl
The Generalitat de Catalunya says northbound traffic on the C-16 between Berga and Bagà peaks on winter Friday afternoons. Pick a departure time with that in mind and put it in your request.
A stop in La Massana
The road runs through La Massana before the last climb. If you need to collect apartment keys or buy supplies there first, add the stop when you ask.
Return from Arinsal to Barcelona
There is no separate page for the Arinsal to Barcelona transfer. Ask for the return in the same request, with its date and time, and we quote both directions.

Questions about the Barcelona to Arinsal transfer
How much time should we plan for the road to Arinsal?
Arinsal is about 202 km by road from Plaça de Catalunya, and the estimate gives about 2 h 55 min of driving (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026). That figure assumes clear roads; the climb from Andorra la Vella through La Massana, winter traffic and any stop you add all lengthen the real journey.
Which road goes up to Arinsal?
After Andorra la Vella the estimate takes the CG-3 to La Massana, the CG-4 out of the town and then the CG-5, which Visit Andorra gives as the road to the Arinsal sector. Pal Arinsal tells drivers coming from the capital to head for La Massana and follow the signs for Pal or Arinsal.
Are Arinsal and Pal Arinsal the same place?
Not quite. Pal Arinsal is the ski area, in the parish of La Massana, with two sectors, Pal and Arinsal, connected by cable car. Arinsal is also the name of the village below the Arinsal sector, and Wikipedia dates the cable car link between the two sectors to 2001. If you are staying in Pal, the Pal Arinsal transfer gives an estimate for each village.
Is there anything to do in Arinsal outside the ski season?
Arinsal is a starting point for mountain walks. The 15 km Comapedrosa route begins in front of the park interpretation center in the village, and Visit Andorra says that in summer, mountain biking in the Bike Park and hiking take the lead in La Massana. A summer request needs the same details as a ski trip: address, date, time and guests.
