What the transfer covers
Ordino is the most northerly of Andorra's parishes, and in 2020 UNESCO declared the whole parish a biosphere reserve; Visit Andorra singles it out for how well it has kept its traditional landscape of forests and meadows. Its main village, at about 1,300 m in the valley of the Valira del Nord, has streets of traditional Andorran architecture and the Casa d'Areny-Plandolit, a house museum that shows how a noble Andorran family lived in the 17th century. The parish also takes in the Sorteny nature park, with more than 800 plant species, and, at the top of the CG-3, the Ordino Arcalís ski area.
Wikipedia notes that the CG-3 from La Massana is the parish's only main road and its only external link all year, and the routed estimate uses it: the CG-1 from the Spanish border to Andorra la Vella, then the CG-3 north through La Massana to the village of Ordino.
