What the transfer covers

Ordino Arcalís is the ski area at the head of the Ordino valley, in the north of Andorra's most northerly parish. Grandvalira's resort pages call it the smallest alpine ski area in the country, with 30.5 km of slopes, and also the most northerly; Visit Andorra adds that its slopes face north and that freeriders come for the off-piste terrain. In summer the resort leads walks from La Coma d'Arcalís, where the car park sits at 2,220 m, to the three Tristaina lakes and to the Mirador Solar, a circular platform at 2,701 m on Pic de Peyreguils that works as a sundial.

Of every Andorra destination estimated on this site, Ordino Arcalís is the farthest from Barcelona by road. The estimate reaches Andorra la Vella on the main road from the Spanish border, then follows the CG-3, the road Visit Andorra gives for the resort, north through La Massana and the village of Ordino and on up the valley of the Valira del Nord, a river that rises at the Tristaina lake. This transfer runs from your address in Barcelona to the ski area or to your accommodation in the parish.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

Pickup is at the address you give in Barcelona: a hotel, an apartment or a home. Send the time you want to set off, or the time you want to reach Arcalís, and the quote is planned around it.

Flying into Barcelona? The Barcelona Airport to Andorra transfer starts at the terminal; name the resort or your accommodation in that request.

Arrival in Ordino Arcalís

The drop-off is the address you send: the resort itself, at La Coma d'Arcalís, or your accommodation in the parish, for example in El Serrat or in the village of Ordino. The estimate in the route panel ends at the ski area.

If you are staying in the village of Ordino, its page has a separate estimate: Barcelona to Ordino.

The resort is part of the Ordino Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO (ordinoarcalis.com), and Visit Andorra notes that the 2020 designation covers the whole parish of Ordino.

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. To the top of the CG-3

Ordino Arcalís is the farthest Andorra point estimated on this site. The transfer goes the whole way up the CG-3 to the resort or to your door, with no change in Andorra la Vella or La Massana.

  2. Room for freeride kit

Fat skis, splitboards, skins and avalanche packs take space. List everything with the suitcases so the quote fits the load.

  3. Missing the Friday peak

The Generalitat de Catalunya says the C-16 between Berga and Bagà is busiest on winter Friday afternoons heading north, with one lane each way on most of that section. On a drive this long, say what departure suits you.

  4. A summer start time

For the Tristaina lakes or the Mirador Solar, give the time you want to be at La Coma d'Arcalís and the pickup in Barcelona is set from it.
