What the transfer covers
Nice is the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes and the fifth city of France by population, laid out around the Baie des Anges. English visitors began to spend their winters here in the late 1700s, and after the hard winter of 1820 the English community paid for a walkway by the sea that became the Promenade des Anglais, now about 7 km long from the airport to the Quai des États-Unis. In 2021 UNESCO inscribed the city on its World Heritage List as Nice, Winter Resort Town of the Riviera. East of the Promenade lies Vieux Nice, the old town, with the daily Cours Saleya market, below the Colline du Château.
The road from Barcelona is long but nearly all motorway. North of the city the estimate joins the AP-7 to the border, follows the A 9 to Nîmes and the A 54 by way of Arles to Salon-de-Provence, then picks up the A 8, the motorway Wikipedia lists as serving Fréjus, Cannes, Antibes and Nice on its way to the Italian border at Menton. A private transfer covers all of it with your own chauffeur, from your Barcelona address to the one you send in Nice.

Start of the journey
Pickup in Barcelona
Collection is at the place you name in Barcelona: a hotel, a holiday flat, a home or an office. Say what time suits you to leave, or when you want to be in Nice, and the quote is worked out for that trip.
Ending a cruise in Barcelona and continuing to the Riviera? The pickup can be the cruise terminal; add the ship and its arrival time.

End of the journey
Arrival in Nice
Drop-off is at your address in Nice: a hotel on the Promenade des Anglais, an apartment in Vieux Nice or a villa in the hills behind the city. Send the street address or the hotel's name.
Flying home from the Riviera? Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE), the third busiest airport in France, lies about 7 km west of the city center and has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Name the terminal with your flight time. Nice-Ville station can also be the drop-off for a train.

Why book a private chauffeur

Drive one way, fly home
If you plan to fly out of Nice after the trip, the drop-off can be the airport terminal. Give the flight time and the start in Barcelona is planned around it.
A stop in Cannes or Antibes
The A 8 passes both before Nice. If you want to see one of them on the way, add the stop and how long you want to stay.
One vehicle for the whole coast
The vehicle that collects you in Barcelona is the one that reaches Nice, so there is no connection to make anywhere along the coast.
Monaco is next door
Monaco is about 13 km from Nice. If your stay continues there, ask for that leg too, or see the Barcelona to Monaco route.
Return from Nice to Barcelona
There is no separate page for the Nice to Barcelona transfer. Ask for the return in the same request, with its date and time, and we quote both directions.

Questions about the Barcelona to Nice transfer
What distance separates Barcelona and Nice by road?
On the route estimate, Nice is about 664 km from Plaça de Catalunya, about 7 h 5 min by road (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026). The last 185 km are on the A 8, La Provençale. Count extra time for breaks, Riviera traffic and the exact addresses at each end.
Can the transfer drop us at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport?
Give Nice Côte d'Azur Airport as the drop-off, with the terminal (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2) and your flight time (Wikipedia). The airport is about 7 km west of the city center, at the western end of the Promenade des Anglais.
Why is Nice on the UNESCO World Heritage List?
Is Antibes or Cannes on the way, for a break before Nice?
Both are near the A 8: the routed line passes about 3.2 km from Cannes and about 3.7 km from Antibes, measured to the town centers. Add the stop and how long you want there to your request. If Cannes is where you are staying, see Barcelona to Cannes.
