What the transfer covers
Cannes, in the Alpes-Maritimes, is the town of the film festival that dates from 1946 and is held each year at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. The same building hosts trade events through the year, among them the MIPIM property show and the Cannes Lions festival of creativity. In front of it, the Promenade de la Croisette runs for about 2 km along the shore, lined with hotels. At the western end of the bay, the old quarter of Le Suquet climbs its hill, and from the harbour below, boats cross to the Lérins Islands, where Cistercian monks live on Saint-Honorat.
From Barcelona this is a drive across most of France's southern coast. The route estimate heads north on the AP-7 into France, stays on the A 9 past Montpellier as far as Nîmes, and crosses to Salon-de-Provence on the A 54. From there it follows the A 8, La Provençale, which starts near Aix-en-Provence and crosses the Massif de l'Esterel between Saint-Raphaël and Cannes. With a private chauffeur, the start time and any breaks are yours to choose.

Start of the journey
Pickup in Barcelona
Your journey starts at the address you give in Barcelona: a hotel, an apartment, a home or an office. Tell us the time you want to set off, or the time you need to be in Cannes for an event, and the quote is put together for it.
Arriving in Barcelona by air on the same day? Give Barcelona Airport and the flight number as the pickup.

End of the journey
Arrival in Cannes
The drive ends at the address you send in Cannes: a hotel on the Croisette, an apartment in Le Suquet, a villa in the hills, or the Palais des Festivals if you go straight to an event. For a yacht charter, the Vieux Port is the town's main port for cruise stopovers and charters.
Traveling on by train or plane? Cannes station is the town's main railway station, and Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is about 24 km away. Either can be the drop-off address.

Questions about the Barcelona to Cannes transfer
How much driving is there between Barcelona and Cannes?
Cannes is about 638 km from Plaça de Catalunya, about 6 h 45 min of driving (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026). In France the estimate follows the A 9, the A 54 by way of Arles and, for the last 164 km, the A 8, La Provençale. Breaks, Riviera traffic and the exact addresses come on top, so plan a full day.
Can you take us straight to the Palais des Festivals for an event?
Name the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès as the drop-off, with the time you need to be there. It stands on the Promenade de la Croisette (Wikipedia); during large events, send the entrance or badge desk you are heading for as well.
Can we be dropped at the harbor for a boat to the Lérins Islands?
Yes, give the harbor or the quay as the drop-off, with the boat time. Five islands make up the Lérins: Sainte-Marguerite, with the Fort Royal, is about 15 minutes by boat, and Saint-Honorat is home to Cistercian monks who make wine and a herbal liqueur (Wikipedia). Check the boat timetable first, so the departure time from Barcelona can be set around it.
Could the day include Aix-en-Provence or Arles?
Both sit close to the routed line: it passes about 0.7 km from Arles, on the A 54, and about 1.9 km from Aix-en-Provence, where the A 8 begins. Add the stop and how long you want to stay to your request, and it is included in the quote.
