What the journey covers

Zaragoza, the capital of Aragón, stands on the Ebro at what Wikipedia calls the center of a rough hexagon of cities, Bilbao, Madrid, València and Barcelona with Bordeaux and Toulouse, each about 300 km away. The Romans founded it as the colony of Caesaraugusta, and it has two co-cathedrals, the Basílica del Pilar on the banks of the Ebro and La Seo. With a chauffeur, the trip west becomes a working day or a visit planned around you: send the time you are expected, the stops you want and how long you will stay, and the journey is quoted for that day.

Heading west, the routed line takes the B-23 out of Barcelona, follows the AP-7 from Castellbisbal to the AP-2 junction near El Vendrell, and then runs along the AP-2 close to Montblanc, Les Borges Blanques, Lleida and Fraga. The A-2, the Autovía del Nordeste, covers the last stretch into Zaragoza. The estimates for Madrid and Bilbao follow the same line, so Zaragoza can also be a stop on a longer drive. At about 3 h 40 min without traffic, the trip is long enough that the DGT's advice of a break every 2 hours or 200 km means at least one stop.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

The journey starts at your address in Barcelona: an office, a hotel or a home. For a meeting or a trade fair, send its address and start time, and the departure is planned back from it, with a break on the way.

If the day begins at Barcelona Airport or Barcelona Sants, name it as the pickup, with the flight or the train.

End of the journey

Arrival in Zaragoza

The journey ends at the address you give in Zaragoza. For a trade fair, the Feria de Zaragoza grounds stand beside the Madrid motorway at kilometer 311.5, according to Spanish Wikipedia; add the hall or entrance if you have it. If you are going on by train, Zaragoza-Delicias station, in the Delicias district, has high-speed trains between Madrid and Barcelona.

If Zaragoza is only a stop on a longer drive, see Barcelona to Madrid or Barcelona to Bilbao.
