Private day trip from Barcelona
A 10-hour private tour for your group only, up to 6 guests, with pickup and drop-off at your accommodation in Barcelona. One price per group.
Roman engineering and a Mediterranean beach town share this private day on the coast south of Barcelona. A private vehicle collects you from your hotel with a professional guide on board, and both are yours for roughly ten hours, at a relaxed pace that you set. The opening stop is Les Ferreres Aqueduct, the Devil's Bridge, a Roman structure 26 meters high and 217 meters long that once brought water to ancient Tarraco. Tarragona's walking tour then covers the Roman Forum, where ruins stand among medieval streets and the cathedral; the Roman Circus, one of the best preserved anywhere, whose underground galleries once held up a stadium for more than 25,000 spectators; and the Amphitheatre by the sea, where gladiators fought, part of a Roman complex listed by UNESCO. Entrance to the Circus and the Amphitheatre is included.
After the Balcony of the Mediterranean, a lookout above Tarragona's shoreline, the vehicle continues to Sitges, where a guided stroll passes modernist buildings and follows the seafront promenade beside the Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla. Unhurried time on San Sebastián Beach ends the sightseeing, so swimwear is worth packing. The vehicle then returns everyone to the hotel, and the fee is charged once for the group, which can be up to six people.
