Pickup at Barcelona Airport

How the pickup at Barcelona Airport is arranged is confirmed in the reply to your quote request.

Send the flight number and the scheduled landing time, and the terminal if you know it, so the quote matches your arrival.

Barcelona-El Prat has two passenger terminals. T2 is itself split into T2 A, T2 B and T2 C, which are a few minutes apart on foot: Aena gives 2 minutes walking from T2 A to T2 B (Aena). Most of the airport grounds lie in El Prat de Llobregat, with smaller parts in Sant Boi and Viladecans (Aena). The estimate below is measured from Terminal 1, with the Terminal 2 variant beside it.

Down the coast to Tarragona

Tarragona is the capital of a province, a county and the Camp de Tarragona region, and its port is one of the largest in Spain, an export hub for the country's car industry. Visitors spend their time on the Rambla Nova, the main shopping street, at the Balcó del Mediterrani lookout, in El Serrallo, the harbor quarter known for its seafood, and in the old town, where the Plaça de la Font was built over the Roman circus. Those Roman remains, from the walls to the amphitheatre, form the Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The route from the airport avoids central Barcelona. From Terminal 1 it takes the C-31 and the C-32 south along the Garraf coast, the AP-7 past El Vendrell and the A-7 into the city. The routed distance is 85 km, roughly 1 h 5 min of driving without traffic, so a morning landing can still make an early afternoon meeting.

Drop-off in Tarragona

Drop-off is the address in Tarragona that you send: a hotel on or near the Rambla Nova, an office near the port, or an address in the old town. Add the time you have to be there if you are going straight to a meeting.

Continuing by high-speed train? High-speed trains serve the city at Camp de Tarragona station; give the station as the drop-off address. For a car at your disposal in the city once you have arrived, see the chauffeur service in Tarragona.

Back from Tarragona to Barcelona Airport

There is no separate page for the drive back to the airport. Add the return to the same request, or ask for it on its own with your departure flight.

Questions about Barcelona Airport to Tarragona transfers

Roughly how long is the airport run to Tarragona?

The road estimate puts Tarragona about 85 km from Terminal 1, about 1 h 5 min without traffic (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026), via the C-31, the C-32, the AP-7 and the A-7. From Terminal 2 it is about 4 km longer. Traffic around Barcelona adds to the real time.

Is Reus Airport a better choice for Tarragona?

It is closer: Aena places Reus Airport about 10 km from the urban center of Tarragona. Which one suits you depends on where your airline flies. For flights into Reus, see Reus Airport to Tarragona.

Can we see the Roman sites before going to the hotel?

Ask for it in your request, with how long you want to spend there. The World Heritage site covers the walls, the circus, the amphitheatre and the forums in the city, and further elements outside it, such as the Les Ferreres aqueduct (UNESCO).

Where is El Serrallo, and can we stop there first?

El Serrallo is Tarragona's harbor district, known for its seafood (Wikipedia). If you want lunch there before you check in, put it in the request with the time you want, and it is quoted as part of the transfer.
