What the transfer covers

Altafulla is a small town of 5,870 residents in the Tarragonès, part of the Baix Gaià, at the point where the Gaià river reaches the sea. It lives in three parts: the center, home to most of the people who stay all year; the beach quarter, called Baixamar; and Les Brises del Mar to the north. The center is the Vila Closa, the old walled core, whose houses mostly date from the 18th century and which was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1998, crowned by a castle dating from 1059. On the shore, Les Botigues de Mar is a line of houses that began as fishermen's storehouses. Near the beach, on a small rise, lie the remains of the Roman villa of Els Munts, one of the elements of the Tarraco World Heritage site.

From Barcelona, the road estimate runs south on the C-31 and the C-32 through the Garraf, joins the AP-7 near El Vendrell and comes off at the junction signposted for Torredembarra and Altafulla. That is 83 km, about 1 h 10 min by road without traffic. The trip suits a week on the beach, a stay in a rented house in the old town or a visit to Els Munts, door to door with no change of transport.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

Pickup is at the address you send in Barcelona: a hotel, a flat, a home or an office. Arriving by ship or by train? The cruise port transfer and the Barcelona-Sants station transfer pages start there.

If your flight lands at Reus rather than Barcelona, the Reus Airport transfer page lists the routes from that terminal; for Altafulla, send the flight details and the address in the same way.

End of the journey

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. Up in the old town or down by the sea

Altafulla is split between the walled center, the beach quarter and Les Brises del Mar. The drive ends at the address you send, so the part of town does not change how you ask.

  2. A first look at Els Munts

If you want to see the Roman villa on the day you arrive, add the visit to your request with the time you want there, and it becomes part of the quote.

  3. Everything for a week by the beach

Suitcases, beach bags and a stroller travel in the car with you from your door in Barcelona to the house. List them with the number of guests.

  4. Tarragona on the same trip

Altafulla borders the municipality of Tarragona. A stop in the city on the way, for lunch or a meeting, can be added to the same request.
