What the transfer covers
Masella is a ski area in Alp, in the Cerdanya county, whose runs climb to the summit of La Tosa. The resort's technical sheet gives 74 km of runs between Pla de Masella, at 1,600 meters, and La Tosa, at 2,535 meters, with 10 km lit for night skiing. It is also one half of the Alp 2500 domain: 145 km of runs from Coma Oriola, at Masella's western end, to Alabaus, at La Molina's eastern end, joined by a gondola that rises from La Molina to the Dues Estacions area on La Tosa.
The estimate keeps to the C-16, the Eix del Llobregat, from Barcelona up into the Cerdanya, and only leaves it for the short climb through Alp to the resort. Masella's own directions list more than one way up from Barcelona: through the Cadí tunnel, which crosses no mountain pass, or over the Collada de Toses. For a ski trip, what a private transfer changes is the timing and the last few meters: you ask for the start time that suits the weekend traffic on the C-16, and the drive ends at the door of your accommodation or at the foot of the lifts.

The Generalitat reports that the C-16 between Berga and Bagà is busiest northbound on winter Friday afternoons and southbound on Sunday afternoons. Ask for a time either side of that.
