What the transfer covers

Reus is the capital of the Baix Camp county, an inland trading city behind the Costa Daurada. Its city council counts nearly eighty catalogued Modernisme buildings, the work of architects such as Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Pere Caselles and Joan Rubió i Bellver, and a Modernist Route links them. Antoni Gaudí was born in 1852, and most of his identity documents gave Reus as his birthplace, although later in life he named neighboring Riudoms. He was baptized in the church of Sant Pere in Reus the day after his birth, and the Gaudí Centre, which the city opened in 2007 on Plaça del Mercadal, explains his architecture and his ties to the town. The council also calls Reus the capital of vermouth, a drink its makers exported widely in the last century.

The road estimate runs south from Barcelona on the C-31 and the C-32, joins the AP-7, then swings onto the T-11, the Reus bypass, and enters the city along Avinguda de Tarragona. Travelers come for a Modernisme day, the Gaudí Centre, the shops or business in the Baix Camp. Tell us when you would like to set off and the street you are heading for, and you get a quote for that trip.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

Collection is at the address you give in Barcelona: a hotel, an apartment, a home or an office. Trips that start at the cruise port or at Barcelona-Sants station are covered as well; give the terminal or the station as the pickup.

Reus also has its own airport, east of the city. If your flight lands there, the Reus Airport transfer page lists the routes that start at its terminal.

End of the journey

Arrival in Reus

Drop-off is at the address you send in Reus: a hotel, an office, a home, or Plaça del Mercadal for the Gaudí Centre and Casa Navàs, which face the same square. For a meeting, give the company's street address and the time you need to be there.

Going on to the coast after Reus? Salou is about 9 km away in a straight line and Cambrils about 10 km, and both have their own routes: Barcelona to Salou and Barcelona to Cambrils.

  1. A Modernisme day, then home

Spend the day between the Gaudí Centre and the Modernist Route and ride back to Barcelona in the evening. Ask for both legs, with their times, in one request.

  2. Planned back from your meeting

For business in Reus, give the office address and the time of your first meeting, and the pickup time in Barcelona is planned from it.

  3. Reus and the coast in one trip

Reus is inland. If you are staying in Salou or Cambrils, add that address and the stop in Reus, and the two become one journey.

Return from Reus to Barcelona

Questions about the Barcelona to Reus transfer

Does the drive end in the center of Reus, and how long is it?

Yes, the estimate ends in the center. From the AP-7 it takes the T-11, the Variant de Reus, then the N-420R, the C-14 and the Avinguda de Tarragona into town. In all, Reus is about 106 km from Plaça de Catalunya, about 1 h 25 min by road (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026); the center's streets and motorway traffic can add to it.

Was Gaudí born in Reus?

Antoni Gaudí was born on June 25, 1852. Most of his identity documents gave Reus as his birthplace, and he was baptized in the church of Sant Pere Apòstol in Reus the next day. From 1915 he said he had been born in Riudoms, his father's family village nearby, so the question is still debated (Wikipedia). The city of Reus describes itself as his birthplace and runs the Gaudí Centre on Plaça del Mercadal.

What can I see on the Modernist Route?

The Ajuntament de Reus counts nearly eighty catalogued Modernisme buildings in the city. Among the works of Lluís Domènech i Montaner are the Institut Pere Mata and the Navàs, Rull and Gasull houses; other buildings are by Pere Caselles and Joan Rubió i Bellver.

How far is Reus from the beach?

Reus lies inland in the Baix Camp county, but the beach towns are close: Salou is about 9 km away and Cambrils about 10 km, in a straight line between their map points, and each has its own transfer page. Reus Airport lies east of the city; see the Reus Airport transfer page.
