What the transfer covers

La Vall de Boí is a mountain municipality of about 220 square kilometers in the Alta Ribagorça, drained by the Noguera de Tor river. Its capital, Barruera, is where the route estimate on this page ends, and its other villages include Boí, Taüll, Erill la Vall, Durro, Cóll, Cardet and the spa settlement of Caldes de Boí. Eight churches and a hermitage spread over those villages, all built in the 11th and 12th centuries, joined UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2000. Boí is also one of the two villages through which visitors enter the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.

The valley is reached from the south. After the A-2 as far as Lleida, the estimate turns north onto the A-14 and the N-230, runs up the Noguera Ribagorçana to El Pont de Suert, and climbs the L-500 into the side valley as far as Barruera. A transfer here is less about one fixed destination than about choosing the right village: Erill la Vall for the Centre del Romànic, Boí for the park, Taüll for its two churches, or the spa hotels at the head of the valley.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

We collect you from the Barcelona address in your request, such as a hotel, an apartment or a house. Tell us the hour you would like to leave.

If the trip starts with a flight into Barcelona, put the flight number and terminal in the request instead of a street address. Journeys that begin at the airport are grouped under Barcelona Airport transfers.

End of the journey

Arrival in la Vall de Boí

The estimate ends in Barruera, the valley's capital. The other villages are farther in: the L-501 branches off through Boí and Taüll, and Caldes de Boí sits at the head of the valley.

Give the address you are staying at, or the first place you want to see, and the quote covers the drive to that point. For the ski area above Taüll, see the Barcelona to Boí Taüll transfer.

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. The right village

Sant Climent and Santa Maria are in Taüll, Sant Joan in Boí, Santa Eulàlia in Erill la Vall. Name the village where you are staying and that is where the drive ends.

  2. Boí for the national park

Private cars are kept out of Aigüestortes, and 4x4 taxis run up from Boí. A drop-off in Boí leaves you where those taxis start.

  3. A pause in Lleida

The route skirts Lleida after about 150 km. A meal there, or a visit to the Seu Vella on its hill, can be part of the request.

  4. Straight to the spa

Caldes de Boí lies beyond Barruera at the top of the valley. Give the spa hotel as the address and the quote runs to its door.

Questions about the Barcelona to la Vall de Boí transfer

Barruera is the Vall de Boí's capital: how far is it by road?

The road estimate to la Vall de Boí ends in Barruera, about 287 km and about 3 h 50 min from Plaça de Catalunya (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026). Villages farther in, such as Taüll or Caldes de Boí, and any stop on the way add to that.

Which churches of the Vall de Boí are World Heritage?

Sant Climent and Santa Maria in Taüll, Sant Joan in Boí, Santa Eulàlia in Erill la Vall, Sant Feliu in Barruera, La Nativitat and the Sant Quirc hermitage in Durro, Santa Maria in Cardet and L'Assumpció in Cóll (Vall de Boí). UNESCO added them to the World Heritage List in 2000 (Centre del Romànic). Not all of them are open to visitors, so check before you plan a day around one.

Can the car take us into Aigüestortes National Park?

No. Cars are restricted inside the park and have to be left in the car parks near its entrances, which can have temporary access limits. From Boí, 4x4 taxis run up to Aigüestortes all year (Parcs de Catalunya). For a day in the park, Boí is the drop-off to ask for.

Where is the Centre del Romànic?

In Erill la Vall, on Carrer del Batalló (Centre del Romànic). It is the place to start if you want the background to the churches before visiting them. Give it as the drop-off address if you want to go there first.
