What the transfer covers

Boí Taüll is the ski area of the Vall de Boí, in the Alta Ribagorça county of the Lleida Pyrenees. It opened in 1988, and its runs climb from Pla de les Vaques, at 2,020 meters, to the top of Puig Falcó, at 2,751 meters. Below the lifts, the L-501 road winds up through Boí and Taüll to Pla de l'Ermita, a village that began as a residential development and is where the route estimate on this page ends.

The drive from Barcelona does not go straight north. The estimate heads west on the A-2 to Lleida, picks up the A-14 and then the N-230, the road from Lleida to the Val d'Aran, and follows the Noguera Ribagorçana valley upstream. Just past El Pont de Suert it turns onto the L-500 into the Vall de Boí, and the L-501 covers the final climb. On a drive of this length, a private transfer means no change of vehicle between your door in Barcelona and your hotel in the valley.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

Pickup is at the Barcelona address you put in your request: a hotel, a rented flat, a family home. Add the time you would like to set off, or the time you want to reach the valley, and the quote is built around that.

If you fly in and go straight to the mountains, write the flight number in the request. The Barcelona Airport transfer page lists the journeys that start at the terminals.

End of the journey

Arrival in Boí Taüll

The drop-off is the address you give in the valley. The estimate stops at Pla de l'Ermita, where the Boí Taüll Resort group has its hotels and apartments, but the same road serves Boí and Taüll on the way up.

For a first morning on the snow, the ski area's base at Pla de les Vaques can be the address instead. Write it in the request so the quote covers the extra climb above the village.

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. Skis on the list

Name the skis, snowboards and boot bags next to the head count when you ask, and the quote is worked out for the whole party and its gear.

  2. Lunch in Lleida

Lleida sits roughly halfway, where the route leaves the A-2. If you want to break the drive there, add the stop to your request.

  3. Your village, not a bus stop

The road up the valley passes Boí and Taüll before Pla de l'Ermita. The drop-off is the address you give in any of them.

  4. A start time that suits the day

On a drive this long, the hour you leave Barcelona decides when you arrive. Put the pickup time you would like in the request.

Return from Boí Taüll to Barcelona

There is no separate page for the Boí Taüll to Barcelona transfer. Ask for the return in the same request, with its date and time, and we quote both directions.

Questions about the Barcelona to Boí Taüll transfer

What driving time should we expect from Barcelona to Boí Taüll?

Count on about 4 h 5 min for about 297 km, the road estimate from Plaça de Catalunya to Boí Taüll (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026), which ends at Pla de l'Ermita. A stop on the way, winter traffic or the extra climb to the base of the slopes add to that.

Is Pla de l'Ermita the same place as the ski slopes?

No. Pla de l'Ermita is a village at 1,608 meters, about a kilometer past Taüll on the L-501 (Viquipèdia). The ski area's base is higher up the mountain, at Pla de les Vaques, 2,020 meters (Wikipedia). Give whichever address you need, the hotel or the base of the slopes, when you ask for the quote.

Which roads lead from Barcelona to the Vall de Boí?

The road estimate takes the A-2 to Lleida, the A-14 and the N-230 north, then the L-500 into the valley and the L-501 up to Taüll. The valley's tourism office describes the same approach from Barcelona: the A-2 toward Lleida, the N-230 toward El Pont de Suert, and a right turn onto the L-500 about 1.5 km later (Vall de Boí).

Can we stop at the Romanesque churches in Taüll?

Sant Climent and Santa Maria, two of the valley's World Heritage churches, stand in Taüll, right on the road to Pla de l'Ermita (Centre del Romànic). Add a stop to the request if you want one. For a trip built around the churches in the other villages, see the Barcelona to Vall de Boí transfer.

Where can we check the roads into the Vall de Boí before a snowy trip?

On the Servei Català de Trànsit's live map of Catalan roads, which sorts incidents into categories that include weather and mountain passes (Trànsit). The day before you travel, look at the N-230 north of Lleida and the L-500 into the valley.
