What the transfer covers

Baqueira Beret is a ski area that straddles two valleys: the resort presents itself as part of both the Valls d'Àneu and the Val d'Aran. Its technical data list 169 marked kilometers of slopes in four sectors, Beret, Baqueira, Bonaigua and Baciver, from 1,500 m up to 2,610 m above sea level. The village of Baqueira, where the estimate on this page ends, belongs to the municipality of Naut Aran.

The road estimate approaches from the east. It takes the C-16 north out of Barcelona, then the N-260 and the C-13, the Eix del Pallars, to Esterri d'Àneu, where the C-28 begins its climb over the Port de la Bonaigua, a 2,072 m pass with the ski area at its top. The resort's own directions from Barcelona describe a second way in, by the A-2 toward Lleida, the A-14 and the N-230 through Benabarre and Vielha, then up the valley on the C-28. This private transfer covers the journey from your address in Barcelona to the hotel, apartment or chalet you name at the resort, and the quote is worked out for your date and group.

Start of the journey

Pickup in Barcelona

Collection is at the address you give in Barcelona: a hotel, an apartment or a home. Send it with the date and the time you would like to set off.

For a journey that starts at the terminal, the Barcelona Airport to Baqueira Beret transfer has its own page. Add your flight number to that request.

End of the journey

Arrival in Baqueira Beret

Drop-off is at the address you name: a hotel or apartment in Baqueira itself, or in another village of the valley such as Salardú, Arties, Tredòs or Vielha. The estimate on this page ends in Baqueira, so an address elsewhere in the valley changes the length of the drive.

Give the exact address or the name of the building when you ask for a quote, together with the number of guests and the ski equipment you are bringing.

Baqueira Beret publishes live updates on its access roads and car parks on its how to get there page. Mountain roads can change quickly in winter, and the Servei Català de Trànsit lists current road incidents in Catalonia, so check both before a winter trip.

Why book a private chauffeur

  1. Ski bags in the request

List skis, boards, boot bags and the number of guests in your request, so the quote is worked out for your group and the equipment it carries.

  2. No train to the valley

The Val d'Aran has no direct train line and no airport of its own, according to its tourism office, so the last part of any trip is by road. A private transfer covers it from your door in Barcelona.

  3. A break before the pass

The estimate passes Esterri d'Àneu at the foot of the Bonaigua. If you want a stop there, or anywhere else on the way, put it in your request.

  4. Your own departure time

Tell us when you would like to leave Barcelona, or when you want to reach the resort, and the quote is planned around it.

Return from Baqueira Beret to Barcelona

Questions about the Barcelona to Baqueira Beret transfer

How many hours is Baqueira Beret from Barcelona over the Bonaigua?

On the road estimate, which crosses the Port de la Bonaigua, Baqueira Beret is about 283 km from Plaça de Catalunya and about 4 h away (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026). Snow, weekend traffic and the exact address at the resort change the real time.

Which way does the transfer reach Baqueira?

The road estimate takes the C-16 north, the N-260 and the C-13 to Esterri d'Àneu, then the C-28 over the Port de la Bonaigua, a 2,072 m pass (Wikipedia). The resort's directions from Barcelona describe the other approach: the A-2 toward Lleida, the A-14 and the N-230 through Benabarre and Vielha, then the C-28 up to the ski area.

Can the Bonaigua pass be closed when we travel in winter?

It can. Viquipèdia notes that the pass stays closed on a good number of winter days because of the heavy build-up of snow and the risk of avalanches reaching the road. The resort's other approach comes from the Aran side, through Vielha and up the C-28, so it does not cross the pass. On the day, the Servei Català de Trànsit lists incidents on Catalan roads, with weather and mountain passes among its categories.

What is the Pla de Beret?

The high plain where the Garonne rises before it flows north through Aran and France to the Atlantic (Wikipedia). The ski area's Beret sector accounts for 75 of the resort's 169 marked kilometers, according to its technical data.
