Reus Airport (REU) is run by Aena, and its passenger facilities are in a single building: Aena says the check-in building opened in 2008 brought arrivals, check-in and departures together, and a new boarding area followed in 2010 (Aena). The same page notes that, before its recent growth, the airport already had a large base of charter passengers, mostly in the summer season.
From the airport down to Cambrils
Cambrils is a Baix Camp town on the Costa Daurada. Its tourism office lists nine beaches along more than 9 km of fine golden sand with calm, shallow water, among them Vilafortuny, La Llosa near the town center and Cap de Sant Pere on the border with Salou, and a promenade runs beside them for walking or cycling. The town also promotes its cooking: through the year it holds food weeks devoted to the galera, or mantis shrimp, to fideus rossos, to squid and to romesco sauce. A little inland, Parc Samà is a garden laid out in 1881 between Cambrils and Montbrió del Camp.
