Reus Airport (REU) is run by Aena and lies about 10 km east of Reus, at about the same distance from the centre of Tarragona. Aena notes that much of its passenger traffic comes from charter flights, mainly in the summer season, and the airport counted 1,336,826 passengers in 2025 (Aena).
From Reus Airport to the coast at Salou
Beyond the town beaches, Salou's shoreline ends in Cap Salou, a headland of small coves surrounded by vegetation. The town's coastal path, 9.49 km long and climbing to 77 m above the sea at its highest, runs from Punta de Sant Pere past the town beaches to Racó de Salou on the cape. On the way it passes the remains of a lazaretto built in 1829 at Capellans beach and Civil War bunkers above Llenguadets cove, and it ends by the lighthouse, first lit in 1858. The cape is also a spot for watching seabirds such as shearwaters and gannets, according to the town's tourism office.
Reus is the closer of the two airports with transfer pages to Salou.
