What the transfer covers
Use this transfer for an address on the Costa Brava that has no route page of its own, or while you are still deciding which town to stay in. The coast reaches from Blanes north to Portbou at the French border, and the Generalitat de Catalunya counts 206 kilometers of shoreline along it, with rocky coves, cliffs, wetlands, short stretches of dunes and long sandy beaches. Distances from Barcelona change a great deal along that line: the estimates run from 70 km (Blanes, about 1 h) to 172 km (Portlligat, about 2 h 15 min) by road without traffic.
In our route data, two road corridors lead to the coast. For la Selva, the southern county with Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, the estimates follow the C-32 up the Maresme and then the GI-682. For the Baix Empordà and the Alt Empordà farther north, they take the AP-7 inland and turn off toward the sea: on the C-35 and the C-65 for Platja d'Aro and Begur, or at Figueres onto the C-260 for Cadaqués. Send the exact address and the quote is worked out for that journey.

Start of the journey
Pickup in Barcelona
Collection is at the address you give anywhere in Barcelona: a hotel, an apartment, a home or an office. Send the street address and the time you want to leave.
Arriving by air? Journeys that start at a terminal have their own pages: the Barcelona Airport to Costa Brava transfer and the Girona Airport to Costa Brava transfer.

End of the journey
Arrival in the Costa Brava
Drop-off is at the address you send on the coast: a hotel in a town, a rented house, or a villa outside a town center, named or with its full address.
Several towns have their own route page with a single road estimate: Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar in the south, Platja d'Aro and Begur in the Baix Empordà, and Cadaqués in the north, plus Girona and Figueres inland.
Three coastal counties share the shore, from south to north: la Selva, the Baix Empordà and the Alt Empordà. The Generalitat's guide adds two inland counties, the Gironès around Girona and the Pla de l'Estany, to its definition of the Costa Brava.

Why book a private chauffeur

Any town, one request
Name the town, the hotel or the villa, and the transfer is quoted for that address, from la Selva in the south to the Cap de Creus peninsula in the north.
Two addresses on one trip
If your group is split between two places on the coast, say a hotel in Platja d'Aro and a house near Begur, list both drop-offs in the request.
A stop inland
Girona and Figueres both have route pages of their own. If you want a stop in either on the way to the northern coast, add it to your request.
Luggage for a stay by the sea
List the suitcases and any bulky items with the number of guests, so the quote fits everything your group brings.
Return from the Costa Brava to Barcelona
There is no separate page for the Costa Brava to Barcelona transfer. Ask for the return in the same request, with its date and time, and we quote both directions.

Questions about the Barcelona to Costa Brava transfer
How long are the drives from Barcelona to the Costa Brava towns?
Measured from Plaça de Catalunya, the road estimates without traffic run from about 70 km (Blanes, about 1 h) to about 172 km (Portlligat, about 2 h 15 min) (estimate: OpenStreetMap road routing, no traffic, checked September 30, 2026). Every town in between has its own figure, and the towns with a route page carry a single estimate each.
Which part of the Costa Brava is closest to Barcelona?
The south, in la Selva county. In our route data Blanes is the nearest point on the coast, with Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar a little farther. The longest drives are to Cadaqués and Portlligat on the Cap de Creus peninsula.
Our Costa Brava town has no page of its own. Does that matter?
No. Send the full address, or the name of the hotel or villa, and the quote is worked out for that journey. Pages exist only for some towns; the Costa Brava hub lists them by county.
Is Girona on the Costa Brava?
Not on the shore. Girona is inland, in the Gironès, one of the two inland counties that the Generalitat's Costa Brava guide includes, and the guide calls it the capital of the Costa Brava region. Transfers there are on the Barcelona to Girona transfer page.
Can you walk the Costa Brava on the old coastal paths?
A good part of it. The Generalitat de Catalunya's Costa Brava guide describes the camins de ronda as old patrol paths from the smuggling era, now signposted along the coast, and says the stretch from L'Estartit to Sant Feliu de Guíxols can be walked almost entirely on them. If a walk is part of your plan, give its start and end points with the request.
