Pallejà sits in the lower valley of the Llobregat, at the point where the river runs through the Serralada Litoral. The AMB places it on the right bank, facing Molins de Rei and El Papiol across the water, with Corbera de Llobregat to the north-northwest, La Palma de Cervelló and Corbera to the west and Sant Vicenç dels Horts to the south. Idescat counts 11,976 residents in 2025 on 8.30 square kilometers.
The municipality is made up of three settlements: Pallejà itself, La Magina and Fontpineda. Fontpineda, west of the town center, is a district of detached houses laid out under a plan approved in 1968, and its road access comes in through La Palma de Cervelló, which is worth knowing when you book a pickup there. The older story goes back to the villa Palaiano, documented in 910, and to the church of Santa Eulàlia. Pallejà Castle, built in the seventeenth century where an older fortress stood, now houses a library.
The N-II and the N-340 both cross the municipality, and the FGC Llobregat-Anoia line stops at an underground station that opened in 2007. Write the settlement name with the street, then where you want to go and when: a terminal at El Prat, a hotel in Barcelona or a walk in the Montserrat massif.
