Chauffeur Service in Sant Andreu de la Barca
Sant Andreu de la Barca splits its land in roughly equal thirds between housing, industry and forest, so a pickup may be a factory gate or a home. A driver collects you at either, with a quote drawn up for that trip.
Baix Llobregat
The town named after a ferry
Sant Andreu de la Barca gets the second half of its name from a boat. The town council's history page tells how a flood destroyed the Roman bridge at Martorell in 1143, and how the Fenollar family, who held the rights to the Llobregat waters downstream of the Martorell gorge, kept a ferry in service near the parish of Sant Andreu. Travelers bound for Barcelona crossed there until the stone bridge at Molins de Rei, begun in 1763, took its place. The parish itself first appears in writing in 1109.
The town lies on the right bank of the river, between Martorell, Castellví de Rosanes, Castellbisbal and Corbera de Llobregat. The council describes it as the smallest municipality of the Baix Llobregat by area, 5.50 square kilometers, divided in roughly equal thirds between housing, industry and forest. Idescat counts 27,069 residents in 2025, or about 4,900 people per square kilometer.
Two FGC stations on the Llobregat-Anoia line, El Palau and Sant Andreu de la Barca, serve the town. If the car is for a factory or warehouse in an industrial area, give the company name and gate with the address; for a home in the old center or on the hillside, the street and number are enough.

Questions about a chauffeur in Sant Andreu de la Barca
Is Sant Andreu de la Barca the same place as Sant Andreu in Barcelona?
No. Sant Andreu de la Barca is a separate municipality on the Llobregat in the Baix Llobregat county. Sant Andreu is a neighborhood in the north of Barcelona with its own page: Chauffeur Service in Sant Andreu. Write the full name in your request so the pickup is not confused.
Why is the town called 'de la Barca'?
Because of a ferry. After a flood took the Roman bridge at Martorell in 1143, a boat near the parish of Sant Andreu carried travelers over the Llobregat, according to the town council, until the bridge at Molins de Rei was built in the eighteenth century.
Can I book a car for site visits in the industrial areas?
Yes, as business travel or a chauffeur by the hour. About a third of the municipality is industrial land, so list each company, address and time, plus any stop at the airport or in Barcelona, and the quote follows that schedule.
How do I arrange an airport ride from Sant Andreu de la Barca?
Send the address, the flight time and terminal, and how many guests and bags. The Barcelona Airport transfer page covers both directions; no Sant Andreu de la Barca airport route page exists yet, so there is no published estimate for this trip.
Can I be collected at El Palau station?
Yes, El Palau and Sant Andreu de la Barca, the two FGC stations in the town, both work as pickup points. Give the station name and the arrival time of your train.
