Pedralbes is one of the three neighborhoods of the Les Corts district, on the western side of Barcelona. It runs from Avinguda Diagonal, where it meets the Les Corts neighborhood, to the Collserola range, with Sarrià to the east, and it was part of Sarrià until the city's 1984 district reform. The Monastery of Pedralbes, founded in 1327 and turned into a museum in 1983, traces the name to the Latin Petras Albas, white stone quarried below Sant Pere Màrtir hill.
Along the Diagonal, Pedralbes shares the Zona Universitària with La Maternitat i Sant Ramon, and the UPC's Campus Diagonal Nord sits in the northern part of the Zona Universitària.
