On the summit, the amusement park dates from 1901, the year the avenue, the tram and the funicular up the mountain opened. Beside it, the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor, begun in 1902 to designs by Enric Sagnier, was consecrated in 1961. Norman Foster's Torre de Collserola, built for the 1992 Olympic Games, rises from the Turó de la Vilana, and the Observatori Fabra opened on the slope in 1904. Vallvidrera village keeps the late Gothic church of Santa Maria, built from 1570 to 1587, the upper station of a funicular that opened in 1906, and Vil·la Joana, where the poet Jacint Verdaguer died in 1902.

Tibidabo amusement park (Parc d'Atraccions Tibidabo)
The company behind it was founded on February 20, 1899 by the pharmacist Salvador Andreu, and the avenue, the tram and the funicular to the summit opened on October 29, 1901. Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor
The church on the Tibidabo summit, begun on December 28, 1902 to designs by Enric Sagnier and completed by his son Josep Maria Sagnier. It was consecrated on October 28, 1961 and named a minor basilica the following day. The statue on the dome is by Josep Miret (1950).

Vil·la Joana (MUHBA)
An old farmhouse at Carretera de l'Església, 104, where Jacint Verdaguer arrived ill on May 17, 1902 and died on June 10. The city decided in 1962 to make it a museum to his memory, and it is part of the Barcelona History Museum.
