Transport on a wedding day is a timetable with several addresses on it: where the couple gets ready, the ceremony, the place where the reception is held and the hotels where the guests are staying. A wedding chauffeur covers those journeys in the order the day sets, for the couple and for anyone else you include.
In Barcelona itself, civil weddings at the City Hall are held in the Saló de Cent of the Casa de la Ciutat, on Plaça de Sant Jaume. The hall was built by the master builder Pere Llobet in 1372, its capacity is 250, and the ceremony lasts about thirty minutes, in Catalan or Spanish. The City Hall issues the couple two parking permits on Carrer dels Gegants and advises the other guests to look into parking and public transport around the square, which sits in the Barri Gòtic, where most streets are closed to regular traffic. Before a date can be requested, the couple must open a marriage file at the Civil Registry of the city where one or both of them are registered.
If the ceremony or the reception is outside the city, in Sitges, Sant Cugat del Vallès or the Penedès for example, the journeys there and back are planned the same way. Questions about a wedding chauffeur
How do I book a wedding chauffeur in Barcelona?
Send the plan for the day by WhatsApp or with the quote form: the address where each journey starts, the ceremony, the reception venue and the hotels, the time of each leg, and how many people travel on each one. We reply with a quote for the whole plan, and the booking is set once you accept it.
Can you take our guests between the hotel and the venue?

We are getting married at Barcelona City Hall. What should we know about arriving?
Civil weddings at the City Hall take place in the Saló de Cent, on the first floor of the Casa de la Ciutat on Plaça de Sant Jaume. According to the Ajuntament de Barcelona, the couple receives two parking permits for Carrer dels Gegants, near Plaça de Sant Miquel, at the interview held about two months before the wedding, and the other guests are advised to check the parking and public transport in the area. Most streets of the Barri Gòtic are closed to regular traffic, so send the ceremony time and the hotels, and the drop-off and pickup points are agreed with the quote.
Can we book a driver for the days before the wedding?
Yes. Venue visits, a welcome dinner or a day out with the family can be booked as separate journeys, or as a driver for a set number of hours with Hourly Chauffeur Barcelona. Put each day's plan in the request.

What should a quote request for a wedding include?
The date, every address with the time you need to be there, the number of people on each journey, any guests arriving by plane or train with their flight or train numbers, and the return journeys at the end of the night. If the plan is not final yet, send what you know and add the rest later.
