Chauffeur Service in La Clota

In La Clota some doors open onto lanes between low houses, farmhouses and gardens, so a corner such as Carrer de Lisboa can be the easier pickup. From there a driver heads for the airport, Barcelona Sants, Girona or the Costa Brava.

Horta-Guinardó district

La Clota, a rural pocket between el Carmel and the Vall d'Hebron

La Clota sits in a hollow between el Carmel and the Passeig de la Vall d'Hebron, southwest of Horta, in the Horta-Guinardó district. Carrer de Lisboa, Avinguda del Cardenal Vidal i Barraquer and Avinguda de l'Estatut de Catalunya frame it, and the whole barri covers 0.18 km², home to 698 people in 2021.

Its story begins at Can Tarrida, a 13th-century farmhouse that has since disappeared, and spreads across the flat ground once called the pla dels Ametllers. The rieres d'Horta and d'en Marcel·lí and the torrents of Sant Genís and la Clota all met here, and their water fed wells, irrigation ditches and a laundry trade that made the bugaderes of la Clota known throughout Barcelona. For years it was a rural spot of small houses and orchards where Barcelona aristocrats spent their summers. Some streets went without paving, sewers or street lighting until well into the democratic period, and low houses, farmhouses with gardens and small workshops still share the same lanes. On the Camí de Sant Genís a Horta, the neoclassical Torre Jussana now serves local associations.

With lanes like these, a precise pickup helps the driver. Name the street and number, or a corner such as Carrer de Lisboa if your door is down a lane, and say where you are going: Barcelona Airport, Barcelona Sants, the cruise terminals, Girona or the Costa Brava. The quote is worked out for that trip.

Questions about a chauffeur in la Clota

Can a car reach a house on one of la Clota's older streets?

Send the street and number. If your entrance is on a narrow lane, also name a nearby street where a car can stop, for example Carrer de Lisboa or Avinguda del Cardenal Vidal i Barraquer, and the quote is planned around that spot.

What is there to see on Avinguda del Cardenal Vidal i Barraquer?

The avenue that bounds la Clota passes Torre Jussana at number 30 and the Pavelló de la República at numbers 34-36. The pavilion is the 1992 replica of the one the Spanish Republic built for the 1937 Paris Exposition, and the university library inside lists visits among its services. In front of it, at the corner with Carrer del Pare Mariana, stands Mistos, a 1992 sculpture of matches by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. If you want to see more than one of them, list each as a stop in your request.

How do I book an airport transfer from la Clota?

Use Barcelona Airport Transfer, which covers T1 and T2 of Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat in both directions. This site has no road estimate for la Clota, so the quote rests on what you send: the flight number and time, your address, and the number of guests and bags.

Can we spend a day in Girona or on the Costa Brava?

Yes. A day out or a one-way drive is quoted on request; see Barcelona to Girona transfer or Barcelona to Costa Brava transfer. Say whether you want to come back the same evening, and list any stops you would like on the way.

How much does a driver from la Clota cost?

This site publishes no fares and no vehicle list. Each trip is priced from the request you send through Request a quote: the address in la Clota, the destination, the date and time, and the guests and bags.
