Sant Martí district

Provençals del Poblenou, old print works and new offices

Provençals del Poblenou is a neighborhood of the Sant Martí district set between the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and Avinguda Diagonal. Around it lie Sant Martí de Provençals, El Besòs i el Maresme, Diagonal Mar, El Poblenou and El Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou. The name links it to the former town of Sant Martí de Provençals, joined to Barcelona in 1897, and to Poblenou, and until recently the area had no clear identity of its own. Its 110.5 hectares had 21,185 residents in 2021.

Much of the land was industrial, and the 22@ district now covers it from the Gran Via down to the Diagonal. Two textile printing works from the 1850s still stand. Can Ricart, begun in 1853 and protected as a cultural asset of national interest, houses the Hangar arts production center, and Ca l'Alier, from 1852, reopened in 2018 as the seat of the BIT Habitat Foundation for urban innovation. Between Carrer de Bac de Roda, Carrer del Marroc and the Diagonal, Jean Nouvel's Parc del Centre del Poblenou has covered 5.56 hectares since it opened in 2008.

Journeys from here vary with the day: visitors to Hangar or Ca l'Alier collected from a flight, a team moving between offices, or a family going up the coast for the weekend. List the address, the time, the travelers and their luggage, and the quote you get back is for that run.

Barcelona Airport and Provençals del Poblenou

Aena gives the airport the name Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat and lists two terminals, T1 and T2. The airport is in El Prat de Llobregat, across the city to the southwest, and there is no published road estimate from Provençals del Poblenou. The quote is therefore worked out from your street and number and the time of travel.

When you are landing, send the flight number, the date and the arrival time. When you are flying out, send the address, the departure time and how many guests and bags are coming.

Questions about a chauffeur in Provençals del Poblenou

Is Provençals del Poblenou part of Poblenou?

It is a separate official neighborhood of Sant Martí, although it shares the name, the industrial past and much of the 22@ district with El Poblenou. A pickup in either is quoted the same way; if your address is south of the Diagonal, see Chauffeur service in El Poblenou.

Which address should I give for Hangar at Can Ricart?

Can Ricart spreads over four blocks around Carrer del Perú and Carrer de Bolívia, and its entrance is given as Carrer d'Emília Coranty, 16. Put that address in your request, or the street door you were sent, so the drop-off is at the right gate of the complex.

Can we visit the Dalí Museum in Figueres for the day?

Yes. A round trip with your own driver is described on Barcelona to Dalí Museum chauffeur and quoted from your address here. If you would like a guide too, Medieval Girona and Dali Museum in Figueres is one of the private tours booked online.

How do I book an airport transfer from Provençals del Poblenou?

Send the flight number, the date and time, the terminal if you know it (Aena lists T1 and T2), the pickup address and the number of guests and bags. Both directions are covered on Barcelona Airport Transfer.
