El Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou lies on the city-center side of the old Poblenou industrial area, in the Sant Martí district. The best-known buildings stand at the Glòries end: Jean Nouvel's 142-meter Torre Glòries, built for the water company Aigües de Barcelona and first called Torre Agbar, and the Disseny Hub, where the Museu del Disseny opened in 2014. Pompeu Fabra University teaches communication and ICT at its Poblenou campus close by.

Torre Glòries
Jean Nouvel's tower at Avinguda Diagonal, 209-211, 142 meters tall, built between 1999 and 2005 as the headquarters of Aigües de Barcelona and first named Torre Agbar. In 2022 a viewing deck opened on its 30th floor, 125 meters up.
