Gràcia district
La Salut, from Travessera de Dalt up to Park Güell
La Salut climbs the southern slopes of the Carmel and Rovira hills in the Gràcia district. Travessera de Dalt runs through its lower part, and its edges reach Carrer de Cardener and Carrer de les Camèlies. It covers 64.3 hectares and had 13,455 residents in 2021. The name is a chapel's: in 1864 Antoni Maria Morera i Colom built the chapel of the Mare de Déu de la Salut next to his house on what was then farmland, and from the second half of the 19th century streets of summer homes for Barcelona families grew around it.
Uphill, the neighborhood ends at Park Güell. Eusebi Güell gave Antoni Gaudí the commission in 1900; work stopped in 1914 with two of the sixty planned houses built, the city approved buying the land in 1922, and it opened as a municipal park in 1926. Gaudí's home there from 1906 to 1925 became the Gaudí House Museum in 1963, and UNESCO listed the park in 1984. Also in La Salut, the Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya was built between 1895 and 1902 to designs by Francesc Berenguer.
If you are staying here or visiting the park, give the exact place for the car: a street and number, or one of the park entrances named on its official site. With the date, the time and the number of guests and bags, a trip to the airport, the port, Barcelona Sants or a town on the coast is quoted for you.

Questions about a chauffeur in la Salut
Which Park Güell entrance should I give for the pickup?
The park's access page names three: Avinguda del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya, which has an escalator, Carrer de Larrard, and Carretera del Carmel, which also has the park's taxi stand. Pick one when you book, and if your visit is timed, add the time on your ticket so the trip can be planned around it.
Can a private tour include Park Güell?
Two of the private tours stop at Park Güell: Barcelona Highlights and Park Güell and Barcelona in One Day, which adds the Sagrada Família. Both list hotel pickup and drop-off and are booked online at a price per group.
Can a driver wait for us while we visit the park?
For that, book a chauffeur by the hour, which keeps a vehicle and driver with you for the hours you choose. You can then add other stops in the city on the same day; list them with the times in your request.
What do I send for a transfer between La Salut and the airport?
The date, your street and number in La Salut, the flight number and time, and the number of guests and bags. Aena lists two terminals at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, T1 and T2; include yours if you know it.
How is the price of a trip from La Salut worked out?
From the trip's own details, since no fares or vehicle descriptions are published on this site. Send the pickup, destination, date, time, guests and bags through Request a quote, and the price you get back covers that journey.
